Bibs & Chip Timing

The route follows the Bow River Pathway and Price’s Island Park. The course will be well marked and will have kilometer markers, as well as stewards to direct runners at all intersections. Water will be available at the start and finish as well as halfway along the 5k and 10k routes. Click here for route maps.
Free YMCA childminding is available for the children of 10k & 5k runners while they race, but must be registered in advance on (403) 781-1669. Space is limited, so we would encourage you to book early.
Calgary weather in the Spring is very unpredictable, so please come prepared. All races will go ahead whatever the conditions, unless Severe Weather Warnings have been issued.
First Aid & Support
The YMCA will be providing first aid services at the start, end and turnaround point of the each race. Course stewards will be able to provide additional support if required.
Locker Rooms & Showers
All registered runners will be able to access the Eau Claire YMCA Locker Rooms to leave bags, or to shower and change. Please bring a lock and a towel. Show your race Bib in order to gain entry.
The start line is just outside of the Eau Claire YMCA, in the Eau Claire Plaza. A variety of transit options exist to Eau Claire, and the closest parking is at the Eau Claire Market
There will be a variety of fruits and healthy snacks at the finish line, as well as bottled water to wash it all down! There will also be an award and prize ceremony starting at 10:15am.
Please do not bring your pet.
Baby strollers are welcome on the 1.5km Fun Run through Prince’s Island Park. However, due to the narrow nature of the paths along the 5k and 10k routes, please do not bring baby strollers for safety reasons.
